Give to God what is God’s

Matthew 22:15-22

Then he said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

 Read verses 15-17.  Why did the Pharisees make plans to trap Jesus in his words?  What can we learn about them?  What hard question did they ask Jesus?  What makes this question so difficult?

Read verses 21-22.  How can we give to Caesar what is Caesar’s?  How can we give to God what is God’s?  Why must we do both?  How can we do both?  What happened to the religious leaders plan to catch Jesus in his words?
