“If You Have Faith…”

 Read verses 18-19.  How was Jesus feeling?  What did he expect to find when he saw a fig tree?  What did he find, and what didn’t he find?  Why did he curse the fig tree?  What happened to the fig tree?  In what way was the fig tree symbolic of the Jewish religious leaders?  What does God expect from his people?  Why?

 Read verses 20-21.  Why were the disciples amazed?  How was Jesus able to make the fig tree wither?  What problem might a mountain being thrown into the sea symbolize?  What can we learn about what really keeps us from bearing fruit to God?  Why is it so important to have faith and not doubt?

 Read verse 22.  What way did Jesus give us to practice our faith?  What will be the result of believing?
