Marriage Comes From God

Matthew 19:1-14

“"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?

 Read verses 1-6.  Why did some Pharisees ask Jesus about divorce?  Who created Marriage?  What else did Jesus teach about marriage?  Why is divorce a problem?

Read verses 7-9.  Why did Moses permit divorce?  Who created divorce?  How does God view divorce?  

Read verses 10-12.  Why did the disciples think it was better not to marry?  Who can accept the truth about marriage?  Is marriage for everyone?  Why or why not?

 Read verses 13-14.  Why did people bring little children to Jesus?  How did the disciples react?  But what did Jesus say about the little children?  How are Jesus’ views of marriage and children related?
